Tagbilaran City, with its vibrant economy and rich cultural heritage, continues to uphold its status as the most competitive component city in the Visayas. Its bustling economic landscape further cements its recognition as one of the nine rapidly progressing cities selected by USAID for the Urban Connect project. Our partnership with the City Government of Tagbilaran, strengthened by the active participation of their representatives in the Urban Management Workshop, identified five key priorities: flood control, urban planning, traffic management, digitalization, and waste management. Mayor Yap has made these focus areas central to her strategies for sustainability and digital transformation, ensuring a brighter and more resilient future for the city.
