On February 22, 2023, we held our first Liveable Cities Lab, our 36th since 2020, and our first hybrid event entitled "The Rise of Intelligent Cities" presented with the League of Cities of the Philippines and Globe Telecom. As the country faces a number of challenges related to urbanization and economic development, intelligent cities will become increasingly important in the Philippines. Technology and innovation will play a critical role in addressing challenges in urban management and sustainable economic growth in all our cities. By using technology to improve various aspects of urban life, intelligent cities can enhance livability, workability, and sustainability for their residents. We were joined by a powerhouse panel of speakers such as Mayor Albee Benitez of Bacolod City, Mayor Wes Gatchalian of Valenzuela City, Mayor Joy Belmonte of Quezon City, Mayor Abby Binay of Makati City, Ms. Celeste Dy-Donato of Geodata Systems Technologies, Inc., and Engr. Gerhard Tan of Globe Telecom.
