Rainy Season Readiness, June 30, 2021

ABOUT THE EVENT

PAGASA declared June 4 as the beginning of the 2021 rainy season. Historically, the peak of the typhoon season is from July to October, a time when nearly 79% of all typhoons for the year enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility. Because of this, cities must prepare for disruptions such as heavy rains, strong winds, and floods that may impact our communities. Our Lab on Rainy Season Readiness presented ways that cities can prepare and plan, keep public services running, and prioritize the safety of their residents amidst the rainy season.
