Liveable Cities Co+Lab - Fixing the Fragments: Driving a Coherent EV Future, May 20, 2026

ABOUT THE EVENT

Liveable Cities Philippines recently held its second Co+Lab session of the year and the first under its New Mobility track, entitled “The Liveable Cities Co+Lab: Fixing the Fragments: Driving a Coherent EV Future.” The session highlighted the Philippines' goals to accelerate electric vehicle (EV) adoption by 2030 through the EVIDA Law and the Comprehensive Roadmap for the Electric Vehicle Industry (CREVI) to modernize transport and lower emissions. Speakers discussed the critical need for coordinated strategies—including charging infrastructure, battery systems, and renewable energy integration—while addressing persistent challenges such as fragmented policies, financing constraints, and the vital role of Local Government Units (LGUs) in implementing local green mobility plans.

The session brought together an esteemed panel of experts from the national government, local leadership, and the private sector to share insights and collaborative solutions. The featured speakers and panelists included Dr. Syrus Gomari (CEO & Founder of Seermo), Director Patrick Aquino (Director IV, Energy Utilization Management Bureau of the Department of Energy), Mr. Jojo Vega (Founder of E-Ronda), Hon. Patrick Ellis Go (Municipal Mayor of Siniloan, Laguna), and Hon. Webster D. Letargo (Municipal Mayor of Gumaca, Quezon Province). The event concluded with special thanks to Guillermo M. Luz, Liveable Cities Philippines' Chairman, and Yenny Gonzales, Project Director, for leading these meaningful conversations on the future of mobility and sustainable urban development.
