This 2022 is the start of the implementation of the Supreme Court's Mandanas Ruling, which effectively increases the revenue allotment (IRA) of local governments units by 55% in this year's budget. As local governments enjoy more funds and greater fiscal independence, much is expected in terms of improved delivery of public services in their cities, especially the much-needed healthcare in the underserved communities.  This Lab on Devolving Public Health Systems convened health experts to share how local governments and city mayors can fully maximize their resources effectively to address the health concerns and issues in their localities.
