Liveable cities

EVENT IS TENTATIVELY POSTPONED

The Liveable Cities Labs is the platform for sharing good practices, innovation, and appropriate technology. It is also a venue for sharing new solutions and forging new partnerships.

As we move towards the digital age, data will be the new “oil” which fuels better planning and informed decisions. Data plays an important role, especially in local governments. It allows local chief executives and managers to design better solutions, gain insights in delivering and enhancing services, formulate policies, and improve accountability and understanding of local operations.

Liveable Cities Labs
The first Liveable Cities Lab will focus on Data Analytics 101: The Value and Use of Data to Manage Cities. The discussion will revolve around the importance of collecting timely and quality data, analytics, and the value of data science for cities. We will be assembling a team of data science experts and institutions, which collect data on cities to help them build up capacity for planning and design of city services.

The Lab will run for one day, broken down into seven-panel presentations and discussions with seven different corporations, institutions, and panels of experts.

Date: Monday, 16 March 2020
Time: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Venue: Radiate Hall, 2nd Floor, The Globe Tower, Bonifacio Global City

Participants
The Liveable Cities Labs will be attended by City Mayors and/or city point-persons who have registered for the Liveable Cities Challenge. These cities have joined a competition to develop solutions, which answer problems in Mobility, Resilience, GovTech, and Basic Services within their respective cities. A diverse pool of experts, such as data scientists and business and tech developers, and other Liveable Cities partners will be invited to talk and present at the Lab.
